Pants down kind of problem…

In a slightly embarrassing moment, my reversible belt did what reversible belts do best—fail—on what was already shaping up to be a remarkably chaotic day. Once again, I was sucker to the appeal of a 2-in-1 product that, quite literally, caught me pants down! As a sign of hope however for the future of product design, my belt was in fact...

...Repairable!

Kudos to Next for manufacturing the belt with two easily accessible screws which allowed me to remove the leather and reattach the coupling with a quick 2 minute fix. It does make you wonder however why they used a press fit connector rather than a threaded fastening which failed so early in the products life; you only have to look at the leather to see that it should have lasted a lot longer than 3 months. Still, a nice win for the hashtag#fighttorepair and one less thing for the Christmas list!
